DESCRIPTION

Construction bid templates play a large part on properly winning jobs! One error can make a costly difference, which is why we have built our template to eliminate most of the common errors that happen from incorrect or missing formulas. 

The construction bid template breaks down each Division from 1 to 16 on separate pages, and totals all the numbers per each division. All of the division costs are then automatically totaled on the summary page, doing all the computation work for you! After performing the division takeoffs, simply edit the percentages for profit, burden, etc, and you will have a complete bid! 

This bid template will make bidding simple and relaxed, leaving you to focus your attention on what really matters - a great takeoff with competitive prices.

 

 

TEMPLATE INSTRUCTIONS:

 

Step 1  

Locate all of the tabs on the bottom of this Worksheet

The first tab is the "Instructions" Tab

The next tab will be "Summary" and the rest will be "Div 1 through Div 16"

These are reflecting the CSI Divisions 1 - 16

On the "Summary" page, update the Project information on the Top Right of the page

      

Step 2  

Delete the 2 Example numbers and values on tab "Div 1" (Only the numbers on the white cells)                       

They are only meant to show you how to enter information in.

*Do not edit or delete any of the Grey Highlighted areas, as they are formulas.

*If you write over the formulas the text will turn red to warn you. Please click "Undo" if you do this by accident.

                        

Step 3  

Enter your information for the following columns in the "Div" Pages

 

Step 4  

After filling out all of the Division pages, the "Summary" page will automatically have updated the totals.

 

Step 5  

On the "Summary" page, update the percentages for the following:

Tax

Labor Burden

Overhead & Profit   

                                                                                                                

Step 6  

Verify that all the numbers add up correctly. The Grand Total on your Summary Page should give you the total price for the bid
 

Step 7  

If you need to break down the total's for the bid, use the tab "Manual Summary" In there, you must manually add in all of the line items and value, as you did for the individual Divisions. When you are done adding the values in the "Manual Summary", check back with the "Summary" tab to ensure that the "Grand Total" for the Bid is the same. This is an easy way to verify that you entered the numbers correctly.

    The templates will be an excel file or .zip folder. You can use your preferred program to extract the files or click here for assistance. Some files contain Macros. You may see a yellow bar when you open these files, and will need to click the button to allow the Macros to work.
  • How do I receive the templates after purchase?
    You will be redirected to a page with an instant download link and will be sent a download link to the email you provided as well.
  • I paid for a template but it's not allowing me to make changes.
    We protect some templates to ensure the formulas are not deleted by accident. To unprotect the template, go to the "Review" tab and click on unprotect. There is NO PASSWORD on any of the paid/premium templates, so simply leave that blank and press OK if it prompts you.
  • Are there any restrictions to the free templates?
    Free templates may come with ConstructionLogs logos that cannot be removed or edited. Some of the Free templates do not allow access to all editing features. If you're looking for a fully customizable template, our premium templates offer full editing.
